Formed in 2001, the DVTCD assists children and people with disabilities in finding employment in the private sector, especially in small-scale businesses. The courses are provided free of cost. The DVTCD funds its operations through contributions from the Youth Development Fund of Bhutan and sales of items produced at the Center. Activities include tailoring, embroidery, art and painting, weaving and souvenir making. |

UNICEF plays an important role in helping build the education system with limited resources. It supports three areas, focusing on the needs of women and children and the disadvantaged: Primary education, non-formal education, and special education. It also funds teacher training programs, the printing of text books, and provides other essential supplies for primary and community schools. |
