According to the Ministry of Women Development, Social Welfare and Special Education, the Government is committed to implement the guidelines of the Asian Pacific Decade of Disabled Persons, 2003-2012 towards an Inclusive, Barrier-Free and Rights-Based Society. The recently approved National Policy for PWDs also sets guidelines in achieving the targets included. Accordingly, the Government is currently in the process of preparing the National Plan of Action in order to implement the National Policy.
